依照慣例，WCOTY(World Car of the Year)世界風雲車大賞分出World Car of the Year、World Performance Car of Year、World Green Car of the Year與World Car Design of the Year四大獎項，而在日前公佈了最後入選名單後，於紐約車展開展後正式公佈了各大獎項的最終獲選名單。
依據WCOTY規定，角逐本年度世界風雲車獎項，須在前一年1月份到當年5月份，於全球至少2大洲地區所販售的新車，符合此規定後，再由來自於全球25國家的64位專業汽車媒體人共同評選。
Volkswagen Golf VII獲得2013 World Car of the Year全球風雲車大賞。
今年獎項經過層層篩選後，選其中World Car of the Year全球風雲車大賞中，由Volkswagen Golf VII獲得最終世界年度風雲車大獎，讓Volkswagen自去年Up!獲此獎項後再次奪獎。從Mercedes-Benz A-Class、Porsche Boxster/Cayman與Toyota GT-86/Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S等車款中脫穎而出。獲選原因，評審團表示，乃是因為經過了七個世代的演進，Golf VII將掀背車款應有的條件詮釋的相當成熟且全面，合宜的車身尺碼，寬敞且實用並舒適的空間，更重要的是，還有更上層樓的駕馭樂趣與安全表現，整體實力幾乎沒有讓人可挑剔的缺點。
Porsche Boxster/Cayman獲得2013 World Performance Car of Year肯定。
而由Ferrari F12 Berlinetta、Porsche Boxster/Cayman與Toyota GT-86/Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S三款車角逐的World Performance Car of Year，則由Porsche Boxster/Cayman所贏得，這是Porsache第三次獲得此獎項的肯定，去年由911所奪下，2006年也曾由Cayman獲得此獎項。
Jaguar F-Type獲得2013 World Car Design of the Year獎項。
World Car Design of the Year，由Jaguar F-Type受到最終青睞，從Aston Martin Vanquish與Mazda6兩款車中獲得此獎的肯定。
Tesla Model S獲2013 World Green Car of the Year獎項。
至於World Green Car of the Year獎項則頒給了Tesla Model S，擊敗了Renault Zoe與Volvo V60 Pliug-in Hybrid兩款車型。
